Some of my favorite things that inspire my reading and writing:Inspire Journal — I’ve used this cute blank book as everything from a bullet journal to a place to brain dump all my ideas. Love that it has a pen pocket on the front.
Composition Notebook Cover — I found this hand-crafted reusable cover for traditional composition (similar here) at a craft fair and love using something inspiring to gather my journaling in one place. And it lasts practically forever (I’ve had mine for about four years) and protects your notebook from wear and tear.
Cyclo Cobra Wireless Earbuds — These wireless earbuds are handy for listening to music or podcasts while reading or writing. They’re not as bulky as headphones and a single charge lasts about three to four hours. Find some here.
NaNoWriMo Mug — It’s important to stay hydrated and caffeinated (or decaffeinated if that’s your way) while you’re writing, especially during National Novel Writing Month. This “Write Now (Ask Questions Later)” mug isn’t on the site anymore, but similar NaNo products can be found here. I’m also partial to their yearly t-shirts, but I’ve found their mugs to be a great, useful piece of gear.
Writer’s Digest — The Bible for writers everywhere. While we focus on the connection between reading and good fiction writing here, the magazine extends its focus to freelance writing, author interviews, querying tips, the business of writing, and more. I learn a ton from every issue. Subscribe if you can, or check out your local library for issues.
I’d Rather Be Reading by Anne Bogel– A slim volume of essays by writer and fellow blogger (follow Anne at Modern Mrs. Darcy) Anne Bogel. Her essays immerse you in the joy of reading and the bookish life. A fun read and a great gift for the book lover in your life (like you!). Find a copy here.
